Meet the TCGMF Board.

 

Errol D. Allen, II
Houston, TX

Errol Allen II is a senior integrator in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer for the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) at Johnson Space Center. At NASA, Errol manages budgets for several space projects and contracts.

 

Errol serves as president of the Houston Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, Inc. (NBMBAA).  Prior to being elected president, he coordinated the chapter’s Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) high school mentoring program for six (6) years.  Errol also serves as Director of Educational Activities for the Alpha Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.  In addition, he is chairman of the fraternity’s College-to-Career (C2C) initiative for the district of Texas and the Southwest Region.  He is a member of the Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals (HAULYP), and a graduate of United Way’s Project Blueprint (Class XXX), as well as Leadership Houston (Class XXX).

 

Errol and a group of colleagues founded the Houston Black Leadership Institute (HBLI), a leadership development program for African-American young professionals, which is focused on succession planning and bridging the gap between past, present, and future leadership in Houston’s African-American community.  Errol chairs the steering committee for the program, which is sponsored by the Greater Houston Black Chamber (GHBC). 

 

Errol Allen II is a native of Houston, TX, and a graduate of Florida A&M University.  At Florida A&M, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and an MBA with a concentration in Finance.

Wade G. Henley
Bowie, MD

Wade G. Henley is the Assistant Vice President for Auxiliary Services of Bowie State University in Bowie, MD.  There he supervises and provides management oversight of ten self-supporting units comprising of Auxiliary Services responsible for $4.5 million in university revenue, including Dining, Bookstore, ID Office, Off-site Copy, Event Ticketing, Laundry, ATM, Vending, Computer Store and Licensing.  Under his leadership revenue improved by 15% and bottom line net income of each unity by more than 400%. Prior to joining Bowie State, he served in a number of roles within government and public institutions including Associate Director of Auxiliary Services at The College of William and Mary, Adjunct Faculty Instructor for the College of Business and Public Administration at Old Dominion University, Industrial Engineer and Program Manager for Department of the Navy, and several managerial roles for the U.S. Postal Service.  He also served as President of Gibmar, Inc. in Richmond, VA where he acquired small businesses under one holding company whose business units ranged from wholesale food distribution with $2.5 million in sales to a small retail pack and ship chain store. 

 

Henley is a national speaker for Auxiliary Services and has been recognized for his commitment to the community including the 2013 Black Male Agenda Mentor Award.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he graduated cum laude and earned his Master of Business Administration from the Executive MBA Program at the University of Richmond.

Eric B. Greenlee
Republic of Singapore

Eric B. Greenlee is an international leader with experience proving financial analysis, project economics, contract negotiation, and commercial decision-support.  He currently works for Royal Dutch Shell as a Senior Finance Advisor at the Pulau Bukom Refinery in Singapore.  His current role entails providing contracting advice, handing negotiations, financial analysis and budget management across all unity areas. He also reviews and analyzes the financial statements directly to site and regional leadership team. 

 

Greenlee has spent all seven years of his career with Shell and served as President of the Shell Affinity Network where he led a team of 13 to provide active support of company initiatives. Prior to joining Shell, he graduated from Carleton College (Northfield, MN) with a degree in Economics. He also participated in an international Business & Economics study program at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.  Greenlee is a native Houstonian who graduated from Episcopal High School.

Eric R. Lyons
Houston, TX

Eric Lyons is an experienced business development professional and entrepreneur. He has extensive experience in strategic partnership development and account management.  Currently he is a Principal at IMPACT Strategies Consultants, a boutique consulting firm where he is responsible for business development and relationship management services for key accounts and clients who include Fortune 100 corporations, small business firms, and non-profit organizations.

 

A Birkman certified consultant, Lyons has a long work history of business development . His roles at the human capital firms Capital H Group and Lee Hecht Harrison were focused on increasing revenue growth and product lines.  Additionally, his other roles, including entrepreneur provided a strong foundation in sales which would lead to his success in business and economic development roles. 

 

More recently, Lyons is the former President and CEO of the Greater Houston Black Chamber. He successfully led the Greater Houston Black Chamber, in launching new programs growing its membership base and executing collaborative engagements with corporate and community stakeholders.

 

He has been active in community engagement for 16 years by serving on various organizational boards. Eric Lyons has served as an educational consultant with the National Black MBA Association. He received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing and Management from the University of Tennessee.

T. Sophia Mikelionis
Chicago, IL

T. Sophia Mikelionis (nee Taneka S Williams) grew up in Houston and was mentored through Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT), Houston chapter.  Sophia attributes much of who she is today to LOT and the selfless mentors who pushed her beyond her perceived limits.  After graduating from Howard University with a  BBA in Finance, she followed her banking internship to Chicago, where she spent time as a Credit Analyst, approving loans for small businesses ranging from $2MM to $40MM.  She then took her skill set to Kraft Foods where she worked in Commodity Pricing and Customer Contract Price Modeling for large Foodservice customers. 

 

After her time at Kraft Foods, she leveraged her experiences to become a Financial Analyst for a small candy company which has now grown to a large candy company with $1B in annual revenue. Now as a Manager, she works cross-functionally with executive management to evaluate mergers and acquisitions, develop and implement sales/trade planning management tools, manage sales planning and forecasting and ensure trade optimization. Her experience managing projects led her to pursue a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. 

 

Her journey has led her to reflect often on her past and fueled a desire to aid those who were just like her as a young adult.  Her path and experiences are expected to be a great asset as she seeks opportunities to mentor zealous youth as they traverse the college landscape.

Michael J. Morgan
Houston, TX

Michael Morgan serves as a Partner for Morgan & Thomas PLLC. He has been involved in business and financial consulting, project management, and business operations for more than 30 years.

 

Since 1997, Mr. Morgan has primarily focused on providing valuation services and economics oversight for portfolios and projects involving opportunities of all sizes and complexities, covering all phases of the energy value chain. He has coordinated the economics evaluations and decision analysis of significant liquefied natural gas developments and has played a major role in creating acquisition models for major land bidding opportunities. His valuation assignments have ranged from very large international deepwater oilfield developments to relatively small domestic oilfield service companies and strategic evaluations and decisions involving unconventional tight oil developments in the Permian basin.

 

Mr. Morgan also has extensive experience and knowledge in investigating white collar crime. This experience was gained during his 15-year tenure as an internal auditor and fraud investigator with a major oil and gas company. He continues to incorporate practices of fraud examination into his business valuation engagements as part of due diligence exercises.

 

 In addition to acquiring a certificate in Financial Management from Rice University (Houston, Texas), Mr. Morgan holds a bachelors degree in business management from McNeese State University (Lake Charles, Louisiana) and an MBA from the University of Houston. He is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed to practice in Texas) and is accredited in business valuation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

 

In addition, he holds the designation of Certified Fraud Examiner. He has served as a member on the Business Valuation and Litigation Support committee of the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of CPA’s and Financial Secretary of the Houston Chapter of the National Black MBA Association. He is currently a member of the Society of Decision Professionals and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Richard L. Robertson
Houston, TX

Richard L. Robertson has an extensive background in asset management and global banking.  In 2013, he transitioned to focus on local economic development by becoming the Special Assistant to the President and CEO of the Greater Houston Black Chamber.  There here is responsible for handling relationships with federal and state government entities, educational institutions and other businesses and organizations  for specific Houston economic development initiatives.

 

Previously, Robertson worked for Goldman Sachs in a number of roles including Client Services Assistant Vice President to the GSAS Fund Administration/ISFS in New York, Client Implementation Associate for Asset Management in Jersey City, NJ, and Trade Management City Fellow in London, England and Bangalore, India. Before joining Goldman Sachs, he worked for Merrill Lynch and Wachovia Corporation.  He holds licenses in general securities and is a registered Investment Advisor.

 

A graduate of the College of Business at The Texas State University, he earned his BBA in finance as a Louis Stokes Academic Achievement Scholar and HEB Scholar.

Chris J. Shuler
Houston, TX

Christopher Shuler is a digital expert with experience consulting and analyzing information and systems and developing websites and e-commerce platform tools and systems.  He works as a Senior Threat Engineer for LyondellBassell, one of the world’s largest plastics, chemical and refining companies. 

 

Prior to joining LyondellBassell, he was a Senior Consultant for Accuvant where he is responsible for leading consulting projects and work streams that consistently deliver results for post-stales product and service implementation of SEIM solutions and securities that meet or exceed client expectations.  Before that, Shuler was a Security Analyst for Waste Management where he created and developed a company-wide desktop security patch management program that allowed monthly patching of systems. He honed his consulting skills as a Technical Consultant for TEMAC Solutions where he worked with large and small businesses across diverse industries. 

 

His community involvement reflects his interest in his work and the community ranging from a member of the Houston chapter of the National Information Security Group (NAISG), Executive Board Member and Co-Chair of the Technology Committee for the National Black MBA Association and a member of the Alpha Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporate.  Shuler earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston.

Heath is employed by Insperity, a business performance solution provider that helps businesses run better so communities prosper.  Heath has leadership responsibility within Insperity's Strategic Business Development Group, which is responsible for the company’s strategic growth initiatives across 10 P&L divisions. Over the past twelve years Heath has held a number of positions throughout the organization including, Managing Director, Strategic Business Development (2010-2014) Director, Strategic Alliances (2006-2009); Sr. Product Manager (2006-2005); Manager, Service Operations (2004-2003); Client Liasion (2002).

 

Prior to joining Insperity in 2002, Heath worked with several large corporate (Travelers Group/Smith Barney/UPS) and technology-related companies in management, consultant, and founder roles, providing strategy, sales, business development, and product management expertise. Heath received his MBA from the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Texas Southern University and his BS in Finance from the University of New Orleans. 

 

As a third generation entrepreneur, Heath is passionate about entrepreneurship, regularly advises entrepreneurs and is a partner in a private equity firm. The entrepreneurship passion started at a young age, as Heath’s mother and father operated several retail stores throughout the French Quarter in New Orleans.  The initial business was started by his mother and Heath worked in the stores from the age of 10.  Throughout Heath’s formal school training, applying academic theory to the businesses was a normal occurrence, with Heath leading expansion financing and loan restructuring opportunities while in college.  During college Heath (along with friends) started several businesses in the music, finance and internet industries.  The highlight of Heath’s entrepreneurship efforts in his 20’s was raising over $1mm at 24 to fund an internet venture in 1996.  The business would be sold in 1998 to investors that could put a lot more money into the venture.  While none of the businesses were huge successes or miserable failures, they provided Heath a solid foundation for what it takes to build a successful business.

 

Heath is attends St. Mary’s of the Purification Catholic Church and has three beautiful children: Brooke, Summer and Heath II.
